One of our favourite couples from season four of Married at First Sight, Simon McQuillan and Alene Khatcherian, have announced they're getting a divorce just two months after the show's finale aired.
"It was a difficult decision but we have decided to part ways," the pair said in a statement to TheFIX.
"We remain the greatest of friends and we will continue to be part of each others’ lives. We thank you for your privacy at this time."
Alene, who was planning to move to Simon's hometown of Ipswich says the long distance was a factor in the split.
"I come home on a Friday night and I call up Simon and I’m like, “Let’s go out!” but obviously, that can’t happen."
Simon and Alene were one of only two couples to stay together after the show wrapped up.
The others, Sharon Marsh and Nick Furphy, are still together and living in Melbourne.
