Married At First Sight fans were left in shock this week when photos emerged of Tracey Jewel and Sean Thomsen in Bali together, with Dean Wells nowhere to be seen.
Many people were left wondering if Tracey and Sean were now a couple, seeing as the term “wife-swap” has come up a lot during this season of the Channel 9 reality show.
Well now the ‘truth’ has been revealed, with Tracey explaining how the Bali photos came about during an interview on FoxFM with Fifi, Fev and Byron.
“I saw that there were photos of you in Bali with Sean and I immediately went, ‘Well, that’s that.’ You’re with Sean, clearly, you’re no longer with Dean. Can you please explain those photos?” Fifi Box asked Tracey.
“Sean was already there [in Bali] with a contestant from MAFS last year, Jesse [Konstantinoff]. So, he was already there … and yeah, you do bond on the show, and we all catch up and we’re all friends,” the TV bride explained.
Meanwhile, Dean commented in the background, “bulls**t”.
When Fifi asked if he would like to say anything, he confirmed Tracey’s comments, saying, “Nah, nah, that’s what happened.”
After confirming that Tracey and Sean were not a new couple, the radio hosts questioned whether Dean and Tracey were operating under an ‘open relationship’ policy.
“I know it’s a really loose term, isn’t it … It’s a grey area. Nothing’s black and white when it comes to me and Dean,” Tracey said.
“Yeah, we’ve been very open-minded … I’m not a jealous person,” Dean responded.
With the MAFS experiment coming to an end, fans will discover the fate of their relationship next week.
