Married At First Sight‘s Troy Delmege has been slammed on radio this morning for refusing to do media interviews unless he’s paid.
“Troy won’t come on, he’s being so difficult,” Jackie O said on Kyle And Jackie O this morning. “Every one of the Married At First Sight couples are all good, they’re all fine to come on. Not Troy. Troy wants money.”
“Troy’s turned into an idiot who now wants to be paid to come on,” Kyle added. “We told him to shove it up his arse.”
Despite what many may think, it’s standard for contestants on reality TV shows – or any celebrity promoting their new work – to give media interviews for free. In fact, it would usually be written into their contract.
News.com.au reports that a Channel Nine spokesperson has said that “Troy will be available for radio interviews next week”. Whether they’re keeping him quiet because he’s really a paid actor or whether he’s just playing hard to get is anyone’s guess.
