They’re notoriously private, but Mary-Kate Olsen, 31, and Olivier Sarkozy, 48, have made a rare public appearance together this week. The couple, who married in 2015 after three years together, attended the annual ‘Take Home A Nude’ auction at Sotheby’s New York last night, rubbing shoulders with Naomi Watts, Helena Christensen, Chris Noth and Brooke Shields.

In true Olsen style, Mary-Kate dressed almost entirely in black, save for a pair of squeaky-clean kicks, and neither she or Sarkozy flashed a smile for the cameras.
Earlier this week, Olsen’s sister-in-law and former French first lady Carla Bruni opened up about the couple’s unlikely relationship. “They seem so happy,” she told Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. “I met her at some cousin’s wedding and she looked adorable and very kind and also Olivier looks very happy with her.”
Mary-Kate gave a glimpse of what her married life is like earlier this year in an interview for Net-A-Porter’s The Edit.
“I think we’re lucky [working hard] comes quite naturally for us. We don’t need so much time to sit and think and ponder. But then, I have a husband, two step-kids and a life; I have to go home and cook dinner. I ride horses on the weekends. You find the thing that helps you relax and if you don’t have it, you have to look for it. Or you get burned out and then you’re not productive.”
