Matt LeBlanc – better known as Joey Tribbiani – has reacted to news of his former co-star’s marriage breakdown, saying Jennifer Aniston is “doing okay”.
Speaking to The Sun, LeBlanc said, “I haven’t spoken to Jennifer about it but I’m sure she’s doing okay right now. She’s a big girl.”
He’s the first Friends star to publicly acknowledge Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux’s high-profile split, although, as E! News points out, Courteney Cox attended Aniston’s birthday bash on February 11, just days before the couple released their official statement.
Aniston and Theroux were married for two years and together for seven.
“Normally we would do this privately, but given that the gossip industry cannot resist an opportunity to speculate and invent, we wanted to convey the truth directly,” read their statement, released by Aniston’s publicist, to Associated Press.
