“There's no date [set for the wedding]. We love the idea of doing it next year,” Matty explained.
“It might be in September when it's not too hot and just starting to get warmer.”
Matty J also gave some insight into the couple’s life post-baby, saying that having their daughter has solidified their relationship even more.
“She [Laura] will get up at any hour of the night. She does so much work, way more than I do, so the appreciation I have for Laura now is so much more,” he said.
In an interview with 10 Daily earlier this year, Matty J revealed that he had almost missed the birth of his daughter while on an assignment as a Luxury Escapes co-host. The reality TV star was relaxing in Singapore airport during a four-hour stopover when he suddenly realised he was in the wrong terminal!
"It was one of those stopovers where you kind of get too comfortable," he shared, explaining a staff member approached him to tell him he was actually in the wrong terminal and his flight was about to leave without him.
"I thought to myself, 'If I miss this flight, then I'm going to miss the birth’.
"So I was that lunatic in the airport sprinting with my bag flailing behind me, only half my jacket was on and I was the very last person to get on that flight.
"And the moment I stood on that plane, they then shut the door and started taxiing towards take-off."
In a hilarious turn of events, Matty J’s stress was all for nothing, as Marlie-Mae Rose wasn’t born for another five weeks.
