‘McLeod’s Daughters’ Star Bridie Carter On The Show’s Revival

Eep!

McLeod’s Daughters star Bridie Carter has opened up about the possibility of the iconic 2000s Australian TV show returning to screens.

The rural drama series, which centred around the lives of a group of women running a South Australian cattle station, premiered in August 2001 and ran for eight seasons.

Carter, whose first major role was on Home & Away in 1995, said McLeod’s Daughters still has a huge fanbase who would love to see the show return.

“We all still get fan mail, especially in Europe, it’s huge,” Carter told WHO‘s Who Are You podcast host Pete Timbs.

“You have this ready-made audience globally, they’re waiting,” she continued of the reboot adding, “I would love to go back and do it.”

Furthermore, the show’s creator Posie Graeme-Evans was in talks for a remake with streaming service Stan.

“Posie was keen and she got together and there was a synopsis written and they had discussions with Stan,” she revealed.

However, Graeme-Evans ultimately decided the reboot wouldn’t work in that capacity. “Posie chose to walk away because she felt like Stan wasn’t going to make the show that she did,” Carter explains.

“She only wanted to make it if it was of the highest standard. I’ve been talking to Posie the whole time and of course I would love to go back and do it and so would certain other cast members.”

Does anyone have the number for Netflix?
