Meghan Markle’s Assistant Private Secretary Amy Pickerill Has Quit

Making it her third staff member to leave since becoming a member of the Royal Family

As Prince Harry and Meghan Markle prepare to welcome their first child and move to Frogmore Cottage, there are a few more changes ahead for the royal parents-to-be.

It’s now being reported that Meghan’s assistant private secretary, Amy Pickerill, who has often been seen at the Duchess’ side, is leaving her role at Kensington Palace.

A Kensington Palace source said, “She has agreed to stay on to help them with the birth of the baby and organise their new household, but will then move on.”

It was recently reported that Meghan and Harry’s private secretary, Samantha Cohen, also plans to leave her role in the royal household once the couple’s baby is born. Cohen has also regularly accompanied Meghan on official visits since the royal wedding and could be seen sitting in the row behind the Duchess of Sussex and Queen Elizabeth during their first joint visit to Cheshire in June 2018.

Another high profile aide for the Duchess, Melissa Toubati, 39, sensationally resigned just six months after the royal wedding. The French assistant who played a “pivotal role in the success of the Royal Wedding” left her appointment after “putting up with a lot”.
