Prince Harry Wished Meghan Markle Happy Birthday With The Sweetest Message

Kate and William made a touching tribute too

The Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle just celebrated her 38th birthday, her first as a mother and her second as part of the British royal family. To celebrate the day, Prince Harry is letting everyone know how much he loves her by taking to Instagram via the couple’s shared account, @sussexroyal.

Harry shared a photo of Meghan laughing from their Royal Tour of Australia and New Zealand last year, writing, “Happy Birthday to my amazing wife. Thank you for joining me on this adventure!’ – Love, H.”

But Harry wasn’t the only one to wish Meghan a happy birthday. Kate Middleton and Prince William shared a photo of the two couples walking side-by-side with Charles during the royal family’s walk to Christmas Eve church services last year. “Wishing a very happy birthday to The Duchess of Sussex today! 🎈” the post read.

Charles and Camilla posted a slideshow of images to their official Instagram account, writing, “A very Happy Birthday to HRH The Duchess of Sussex 🎉,” while the Queen’s account, which also represents the royal family as a whole shared a photo of Meghan and Harry holding hands, writing, “Happy Birthday to The Duchess of Sussex. 🎂 The Duchess was born on this day in 1981.”

While Meghan spent her last birthday at Harry’s good friend Charlie Van Straubenzee’s wedding, it looks like this year’s celebration will be more low-key and spent with the family.

In a new interview, Royal expert and commentator Omid Scobie weighed in on how he thinks the Duchess will be spending her day, saying, “Prince Harry will be back from Google Camp in Sicily, where he gave a speech about the fight against climate change, so they’ll be spending Meghan’s birthday quietly as a family. The Sussexes have been so busy this year that I can imagine her birthday will simply involve a well-deserved day of rest with a few friends — and, of course, precious moments with Archie.”
