Meghan Markle is back on NYC soil, and she understands the style assignment.

The 40-year-old Duchess touched down interstate with her husband Prince Harry on Monday to attend a United Nations Assembly in Manhattan, to which she wore a classic black three-quarter sleeve top paired with a pencil skirt, both by Givenchy. She accessorised with a classic a black Mulberry bag.

The look was reminiscent of Rachel Zane’s corporate aesthetic, the character Markle played during her Suits days. Just add a film crew, rewind seven years and we’re right back to her Hollywood hey-day.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Markle has worn the style either. She opted for the exact same pencil skirt and top in a dark moss green during a visit to Dublin 2018.

Markle watched as Prince Harry, 37, spoke during the United Nations assembly on Monday. He called out the “painful” year experienced by many people across the world, specifically referencing the overturning of Roe v Wade in the the US, as well as devastating weather events and war in Ukraine.

“How many of us feel battered, helpless, in the face of a seemingly endless stream of disasters and devastation?” He said.

“This has been a painful year in a painful decade… Our world is on fire again. And these historic weather events are no longer historic. More and more, they are part of our daily lives, and this crisis will only grow worse.”

He called on the UN for a “daring, transformative” response.

The pair held several meetings with UN representatives before heading back to their home in Santa Barbara, California, where they raise their two children Archie, three, and Lilibet, one.
