Meghan Markle Accuses “The Firm” Of “Perpetuating Falsehoods” About Her In Explosive New Clip

"There's a lot that's been lost"

On the same day Buckingham Palace announced it would be launching an investigation into accusations made by The Times that Meghan Markle had bullied Palace staffers during her time as a senior royal in 2018, the couple has released another teaser clip for their upcoming interview with Oprah Winfrey—making accusations that “the Firm” has been responsible of “perpetuating falsehoods” about them.

In the latest sneak peek of the March 8 interview on CBS, Oprah asks the Duchess of Sussex how she feels about the Palace “hearing you speak your truth?”

“I don’t know how they could expect that after all of this time we would still just be silent when there is an active role that the Firm is playing in perpetuating falsehoods about us,” Meghan tells the host. “And if that comes with risk of losing things… there’s a lot that’s been lost already.”

Another clip released earlier this week showed Oprah asking the duchess if she was “silent” or was “silenced”, while another showed Harry appearing to take aim at his father Prince Charles and the rest of the royal family for not supporting his late mother, Princess Diana.

“You know, for me, I’m just really relieved and happy to be sitting here talking to you with my wife by my side because I can’t begin to imagine what it must have been like for her [Princess Diana] going through this process by herself all those years ago,” he said. “Because it has been unbelievably tough for the two of us, but at least we had each other.”

“My biggest concern was history repeating itself,” he added.

Oprah with Meghan and Harry: A CBS Primetime Special airs on March 8 at 7.30pm on Channel 10.
