Meghan Markle’s Go-To Meal Is So Relatable

She may be a princess, but that doesn't mean she eats like one

Being a member of the royal family may involve wining and dining in the finest restaurants around the globe, but Meghan Markle’s favourite meal is a very laid-back carb-load – and we are here for it.

The Sun has just revealed the Duchess of Sussex’s favourite cheat meal, and it’s not what you might expect from a princess.

Instead of truffles or a fancy serving of caviar by England’s top chefs, Meghan’s favourite meal is poutine – which is essentially cheese and gravy covered chips.

Her go-to is a vegan version of the traditional Canadian dish from London based vegan restaurant, By Chloe.

A slightly healthier twist, but not any less delicious than the original poutine, By Chloe’s version is made with chips, seitan ‘chorizo’, cashew nut cheese and vegan gravy.

According to Reader’s Digest, Meghan tries to stick to a mostly vegan diet throughout the week, which was why she was apparently thrilled when By Chloe created a vegan twist on one of her ultimate guilty pleasures.

The Duchess, who was proposed to over a very humble roast chicken, obviously prefers simple and hearty food over the decadent tastes we may expect from the royals, proving her tastes buds to be as down-to-earth as she is.

As if we needed another reason to love Meghan.
