This Is When Meghan Markle Will Have To Curtsey To Kate Middleton

Royal friendships aren't the same as regular friendships

We have seen Meghan Markle curtsy to the Queen on several occasions, including at her own wedding to Prince Harry earlier this year, but as it turns out that won’t be the only royal family member Markle will be expected to bow to.

The Duchess of Sussex will also have to respectfully bend the knee to close friend Kate Middleton… eventually.

Kate and Meghan have got along from day one, with a source telling E! News the Duchess of Cambridge made it clear after their first meeting “that should Meghan ever need something, or just want to chat, she shouldn’t hesitate to get in touch.”

It’s believed that Kate and Meghan have become even closer friends with Meghan amid the constant stream of Markle family drama. ‘

The friends were even seen laughing and enjoying the tennis at Wimbledon together this earlier year.

Despite the friendship, royal tradition dictates that as soon as William is crowned King of England, and Kate becomes Queen Consort, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be expected to perform the royal greeting at all formal events out of respect.

But the traditions don’t stop with the brother and sister-in-law of the King and Queen of England, it turns out that Prince George, Prince Charlotte and Prince Louis will also have to bow to their parents when they lead the monarchy.

Bowing to your own mum and dad would not be an ideal situation for any kid, but hey, it’s the royals we’re talking about.

Considering how Meghan has handled all other royal customs like a pro, bowing to her BFF should be a breeze.
