Meghan Markle’s Dion Lee Dress Just Crashed The Brand’s Website

The Meghan Effect takes Melbourne

Royal fever (AKA the royal tour of Australia) has taken hold of Melbourne with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepping out today to meet fans and walk to Government House ahead of their welcome reception.

But it’s the Duchess of Sussex’s Dion Lee dress that has everyone’s attention, crashing the brand’s website just minutes after the first photos of Meghan surfaced online.

The custom navy blue dress was created especially for the mother-to-be after designer Dion Lee was told by her stylist that Meghan had liked (but not bought) one of his other dresses, per the Sydney Morning Herald.

“It’s a whole other level, Lee said of the Meghan Effect, revealing the dress will be available for pre-order later today. “I can’t say our website has ever crashed as a result of anyone wearing our clothes,” he added.

Over the top of her dress, Meghan rewore the beige trench coat she had on in Sydney, made by Australian designer Martin Grant, as well as blue pumps and a white Gucci clutch.
