Speculation is rife as to the due date of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s baby, but now it appears the cat’s out of the bag – and it’s all thanks to Australian singer Missy Higgins.
The two women met at yesterday’s Admiralty House reception for the royal couple, hosted by the Governor-General, Yahoo7 reports. As Higgins carried her two-month-old daughter Luna in her arms, the talk inevitably turned to babies. That’s when Meghan Markle, perhaps distracted by all that cuteness, let slip how far along she is.
Higgins, blissfully unaware of the world’s wild conjecture around the royal baby’s due date, casually included the news in the above Instagram post.
“What an honour to meet the beautiful Duchess today!” she wrote. “She was such a sweetheart. I said I felt sorry for her having to do all these meet-and-greets while four months pregnant! What a trooper.”
So there you have it. While Kensington Palace had previously kept coy on the details, revealing only that the baby is due in the spring of 2019, now we know to expect an April baby.
