Meghan Markle Wore A $40 Dress During A FaceTime Call With Prince Harry

The Duchess also revealed her sweet nickname for Prince Harry

While many might have focused on Prince Harry’s candid confessions and army maneuvers during the royal’s surprise appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden, it was Meghan Markle’s maternity fashion that had the Internet obsessed.

Fans got a glimpse of the Duchess when Corden asked Harry if they could FaceTime her, which showed off not only her incredible long curls and honey highlights but her keen eye for affordable fashion.

“Haz, how’s your tour of L.A. going?” Meghan asked her husband, revealing her sweet nickname.

“Haz? I didn’t know we were calling you Haz now,” Corden joked, to which Prince Harry replied, “You’re not my wife.”

There was plenty to unpack from the 17-minute long video, where Harry rode a double-decker bus for the first time and candidly revealed the British media was “destroying” his mental health, but it was Markle’s blue dress by Velvet Touch that had fans talking.

The item is currently unavailable, but the Puff Sleeve Smock Dress normally retails for AUD $40 and is currently available for pre-order.

“So this happened today!!” the Los Angeles-based fashion brand posted on Instagram on Feb. 26, adding “as seen on Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex” to the product description. The dress is made in the U.S. and comes in sizes XS-XL.

The surprise cameo comes just a few weeks after Meghan and Harry revealed they’re expecting their second child. The couple announced the exciting news on February 14, exactly 37 years after Princess Diana’s pregnancy with Prince Harry was made public.

The announcement came via photographer and longtime friend of the couple, Misan Harriman, who shared a beautiful portrait of the pair.

Meg, I was there at your wedding to witness this love story begin, and my friend, I am honoured to capture it grow. Congratulations to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex on this joyous news!” Harriman wrote.

The couple is also scheduled to appear for a candid interview with Oprah Winfrey on March 8. The CBS pre-filmed special will see “Winfrey speak with Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, in a wide-ranging interview, covering everything from stepping into life as a royal, marriage, motherhood, philanthropic work to how she is handling life under intense public pressure,” the network said in a statement.

In a 30-second teaser, released by CBS on March 1, the couple speak to the TV host about how blessed they feel to have each other while dealing with the vitriol that they receive by the press.

“I’m relieved and happy to be sitting here, talking to you with my wife by my side, because I can’t imagine what it must have been like for her going through this process by herself all those years ago,” Prince Harry says, referring to his mother, Princess Diana.

“Because it has been unbelievably tough for the two of us, but at least we have each other.”
