While the dosh Meghan Markle forked out for her bridal hair and makeup isn’t exactly realistic spending for the majority of us mere mortals (approx. $13k) her everyday beauty routine is much more wallet-friendly.
The newlywed’s former makeup artist, Lydia Sellers, spoke to HELLO! and dished the dirt on all her go-to products, including her favourite $21.95 mascara.
“Megan actually introduced me to a drugstore mascara, Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious Mascara,” she said. “I keep it stocked in my kit now at all times thanks to her! This mascara really helps to amplify your lashes and polish off the entire look.”
The formula is “super hydrating” and is perfect for those looking for “full volume and lengthening.” The ingredients list includes rose, saffron and argan oils that help keep the lashes fluffy and fanned but still soft and dense.
“I love how it builds,” Lydia added. “And that the price point is accessible for all budgets.”
As far as the rest of the face is concerned, Meghan favours the “less-is-more approach,” with “fresh, dewy skin to show off her natural tone and freckles” and a “hint of colour on the lips.”
“At night we’d amp it up with a sultry, slightly darker smoky eye or sometimes a bold pop of colour on her lips,” Lydia explained. “She is a very classic, subdued glam kind of gal, which I truly admire.”
Considering how incredible Meghan looked when she walked down the aisle a few weeks back, we’re definitely adding this find to the lust list.
