The Duchess of Sussex, however, came up with an adorable solution, gifting each of her six bridesmaids custom white leather Aquazurra shoes monogrammed with their initials and the wedding date.
"The shoes are a gift from Ms. Markle to the young ladies as a keepsake of the special day," read a statement from The Palace.
"There were really charming little moments that we saw throughout the day," Prince Charles' goddaughter, India Hicks, said in an interview with E!
"What I loved were the little bridesmaid shoes - the way that Meghan gave them as a gift and they had those initials embroidered on the front."
The bridesmaids were also gifted flower crowns that Prince Harry and Meghan had specifically selected for them.
For her close friends, including Jessica Mulroney and her new sister-in-law Kate Middleton, Meghan commissioned six gold bracelets from California-based fine jewellery brand Zofia Day, each costing $450, according to People.
