It's happening! Meghan MarkleandPrince Harryare about to welcome theirfirst child.Kensington Palace tonight confirmed that the Duchess of Sussex has gone into labour. In a statement, the palace said Meghan went into labour in the early hours of the morning with Prince Harry by her side.
A further announcement will be made soon, the palace said.
Despite previously announcing they wouldn't be making the Duchess' labour public, saying in a statement that "their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private" and that "the Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family," it looks like the pair decided to let the world in on the exciting impending arrival.
The couple, who wed in May last year, announced they were expectingBaby Sussexin Novemberwhile on their Royal Tour of Australia. The couple later revealed theirdue datewas at theend of April, but did not give specific details.
