Meghan Markle’s Instagram Account Mysteriously Reappeared Tonight

Filled with all her best pre-royal posts

If Meghan Markle has taught us anything since she became the Duchess of Sussex, it’s to expect the unexpected. From protocol-defying outfits to new family traditions, the 37-year-old makes her own royal rules.

Case in point: her brief return to social media. On Tuesday evening, Markle’s Instagram account @meghanmarkle was briefly reactivated, giving her 3m followers quite the surprise.

All of Meghan’s 2065 pre-royal photos were still on the account, including selfies, puppy photos and travel snaps. Instantly, fans started commenting on her last image, a photo announcing she was closing her website, The Tig, which came briefly before her engagement announcement to Prince Harry and the deactivation of her Instagram.

In January when Meghan deactivated her account, she said (via a palace statement) that she was “grateful to everyone who has followed her social media accounts over the years” but had closed them “as she has not used these accounts for some time”.

Fast forward almost one year and we got a glimpse into the inner workings of one of the most talked about women in the world through her old photos.

Sadly, the Duchess was only online for a brief time and has since deleted her page, making many think her account was hacked or there was a system error:

The palace is yet to comment on the brief reappearance of pre-royal, selfie-loving Megs.
