Meghan Markle Opens Up About Her Pregnancy For The First Time

Well this is lovely

Since Kensington Palace announced that Meghan Markle is pregnant, the world has gone wild for all things royal baby. We all want to know everything – from Meghan Markle’s due date, to the pregnancy rules she will have to follow now that she is expecting.

According to reports, the Queen is ‘delighted’, as is Meghan’s mum, Doria Ragland, and we’re totally ready for another royal baby.

While the news has dominated headlines this week, Prince Harry and Meghan have been on tour in Australia. Harry spoke briefly about his first child during a speech when he nervously admitted, ‘We also genuinely couldn’t think of a better place to announce the, er, upcoming baby.’

It’s too sweet.

And now Meghan has spoken out about her pregnancy for the first time since the announcement on Monday.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended afternoon tea with a family in Dubbo, New South Wales, where they met 13-month-old Ruby, and Meghan spoke to the toddler’s mother, Emily Carroll, about her pregnancy.

‘They both had a little tickle with [Ruby],’ Mrs Carroll said.

‘She’s normally in bed at 10.30am but we had to stay up for this. She’s done so well.

‘Meghan told me that she’s feeling pretty good so far, which is great, and that she’s running on adrenaline. She said they’re doing 76 engagements in 16 days, with maybe one rest in the middle.

‘She’s made for this royal business, isn’t she? They’re both great with kids.’

According to another attendee, Meghan spent the night before baking banana bread for their host family, insisting that if you go to someone else’s house you should always take something with you.

Apparently, she was ‘worried… that she’d put too many bananas in it,’ but Harry declared, ‘There are never too many bananas.’

Plus, when it started pouring with rain during Harry’s speech, the Duchess of Sussex held an umbrella over the Duke as he spoke. Adorable!
