Meghan and Harry chose to honour their daughter's great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, with the name—with 'Lilibet' being Her Majesty's nickname from her late husband Prince Philip. They, of course, also paid tribute to Harry's late mother, Princess Diana.
The couple first announced that they were expecting a baby on Valentine’s Day, later telling Oprah during their tell-all interview that they were expecting a baby girl.
Their newborn daughter joins the couple's first child, Archie, who turned two this year.
Their new bundle of joy sits at eighth in line for the British throne, after her older brother Archie, her father, her grandfather Prince Charles, her uncle Prince William, as well as her cousins Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
As one of the few royal family members to be born outside of the United Kingdom, it's safe to say that Lilibet's life will take on much more a different path than most recent royal babies.
A huge congratulations again to the family of four!
