Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Are Taking A Break From Royal Work For Family Time

The news comes after Meghan's emotional video revealing she's not doing ok

Over the weekend, a preview of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s upcoming documentary highlighting their 10-day tour of Africa showed a vulnerable Meghan Markle revealing to journalist Tom Bradby that she’s struggling with the immense backlash she’s been receiving from the British tabloid media. In the clip, the 38-year-old is visibly upset as Bradby asks how she is, replying that “not many people have asked if I’m okay.”

Within an hour the hashtag ‘#WeLoveYouMeghan’ was trending on Twitter with an estimated 70,000 people sharing messages of support for the duchess, including Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Kamala Harris.

In an article for the Sunday Times, Bradby recalled asking Meghan whether she was able to cope with the endless media scrutiny to which she replied, “We are taking it one day at a time,” before admitting that the couple is currently “existing, not living.”

He also wrote that he saw them as a “couple who clearly feel under the most extreme pressure and seem, at times, to be buckling beneath it”.

“I couldn’t help but notice how incredibly tired, even burnt out, Harry looked,” he noted.

Thankfully, Harry and Meghan are taking some much needed time away from the spotlight over Christmas with a Royal source telling the Sunday Times: “The Duke and Duchess have a full schedule of engagements and commitments until mid-November, after which they will be taking some much-needed family time.”

They are reportedly flying to Los Angeles next month to spend Thanksgiving with Meghan’s mum, Doria Ragland, and will likely spend Christmas with the Royal Family at Sandringham in Norfolk.
