Meghan Markle Has Started Using Princess Diana’s Make-Up Artist For Shoots

A royal engagement has to be on the cards

In the wake of Meghan Markle’s candid interview with Vanity Fair, in which the Suits actress gushed about boyfriend Prince Harry, one enlightening new detail has emerged: Princess Diana’s make-up artist worked on the shoot.

Mary Greenwell, who famously did Princess Diana’s make-up for big events and magazine shoots (Vanity Fair included), revealed the intel on her Instagram.

“Beautiful Meghan Markle for @VanityFair with @therealpeterlindbergh and @jdiehlpoynter. Such a lovely day,” Greenwell captioned the series of images from the shoot, which show a fresh-faced Markle with her natural freckles coming through.

For avid royal watchers, this can mean only one thing: Markle is about to marry Prince Harry. Why else would Mary Greenwell suddenly be doing her make-up?

The news is particularly interesting given the Vanity Fair profile on Meghan was the first in which she spoke publicly about her relationship.

“We’re two people who are really happy and in love,” she told the publication. “We were very quietly dating for about six months before it became news, and I was working during that whole time, and the only thing that changed was people’s perception.”

“We’re a couple. We’re in love,” she continued. I’m sure there will be a time when we will have to come forward and present ourselves and have stories to tell, but I hope what people will understand is that this is our time. This is for us. It’s part of what makes it so special, that it’s just ours. But we’re happy. Personally, I love a great love story.”
