The One Royal Rule Meghan Markle Reportedly Finds “Difficult” To Follow

We can see why

There’s no denying Meghan Markle has taken her new royal role – and all the strange rules that come with it – in her stride. The Duchess of Sussex moves between royal engagements and family affairs with ease, looking every bit a modern princess

But, according to People, Meghan actually finds some aspects of royal protocol “difficult,” specifically why the Queen prefers women to wear dresses or skirts over pants.

“[Meghan] has found certain rules in the royal household difficult to understand, like the fact that the Queen prefers women in dresses or skirts rather than trouser suits,” a source revealed, adding the Duchess is “often asking Harry why things have to be done in a certain way.”

“I think she finds it a little frustrating at times, but this is her new life, and she has to deal with it,” they continued.

Given Meghan’s love of pantsuits, we can see why she’d find it outdated to have to opt for more feminine pieces, but that’s not even the half of it. The 36-year-old must now wear nude pantyhose at all times, must never wear dark nail polish, must pack black whenever she travels and must never wear a hat after 6pm.
