Ever since she nabbed Prince Harry and started doing the royal tour rounds, Meghan Markle has made headlines for her various fashion rebellions: first, she dared to wear a messy bun (the horror!), then she wore – we hope you’re sitting down – mismatched earrings. Someone pass the smelling salts.
But now, the inevitable: Ms Markle has finally bowed to the Queen’s most “steadfast” fashion rule: she’s pulled a Kate Middleton and worn nude stockings.
Although she’s flaunted the Palace’s sartorial protocol for her royal visits with Prince Harry thus far, the future princess (probably wisely) put on tights for her first outing in the Queen’s presence yesterday.
“You never see a royal without their nude stockings,” royal correspondent Victoria Arbiter recently told Insider, marie claire US reports. “I would say that’s really the only hard, steadfast rule in terms of what the Queen requires.”
We wonder what she thinks of the messy bun.
