Given that most brides allow at least six months to find their wedding dress, it’s no surprise princess-to-be Meghan Markle has finally started having fittings – and has even chosen her designer.

According to royal reporter Omid Scobie, Markle had her very first fitting at Kensington Palace last week. Who she had the fitting with is anyone’s guess, as the designer is being kept strictly under wraps until the big day.

That said, dress sketches by Israeli bridal designer Inbal Dror were sent to the palace in December last year, and the bride-to-be has previously named Elie Saab, Christos Costarellos and Elphine Manivet as her wedding dress designers of choice, in a 2016 interview with Glamour.

Scobie has also revealed to Good Morning America that Markle’s long-time friend, bridal stylist Jessica Mulroney, is on board to help her select her dress, E! News reports. “Jessica Mulroney has a rich history when it comes to…wedding planning and bridal styling,” he says. “It’s not just the dress she’s involved in. She’s actually helping with a number of elements for the big day and I think Meghan is really relying heavily on her expertise and a lot of the decision she has to make, and there are many.”

He adds: “Meghan expressed the desire to wear something simple and classy and very elegant. They’ve tried on a number of different designs and are currently whittling it down to pick the best design for the day.”
