Meghan Markle Wore A Constellation Necklace As A Tribute To Her Children In New Video

No wonder we couldn't stop staring at it.

For Meghan Markle, no detail is spared when it comes to piecing together each of her rare appearances. On her 40th birthday, the Duchess shared a new video which reiterated the feat in the best way.

In the new clip filmed in her Santa Barbara home, Meghan appeared glowing and radiant in a cosy cream ensemble. And while the context of the video was enough to engage us in its own right, the new mum’s unique necklace caught our attention.

The delicate silver constellation-style necklace forms both the Taurus and Gemini Zodiac symbols, each in tribute to her two children Archie, who was born on May 6, 2019, and Lilbet, who arrived on June 4 this year.

The delicate style is a sweet tribute to her children, whom she understandably keeps out of the public eye for the most part.

The necklace itself is actually not one, but two chains layered over the top of each other. Designed by California-based jeweller Logan Hollowell, each necklace features either diamonds or white sapphires. Meghan opted for the silver versions of the simple, yet stunning style.

In the comedic-style video, the Duchess of Sussex speaks to friend and famed actress Melissa McCarthy, to whom she reveals her 40th birthday initiative.

As explained by the royal, Meghan invited 40 of her friends to spend 40 minutes to mentor women who are trying to get back into the workforce.

It follows the devastating impact COVID-19 has had on female unemployment, though Meghan’s commitment in helping women back into work stems long before the pandemic. In 2019, she worked closely with women’s charity Smartworks, a not-for-profit donating work-appropriate clothing and mentoring females through the job interviewing process.

Among Meghan’s 40 friends invited to partake in her 40 minute initiative were fashion stalwart Stella McCartney, iconic singer Adele and political activist and journalist Gloria Steinem.

The Duchess’ royal relative Princess Eugenie also revealed her intention to donate 40 minutes of her time in celebration of “Dear Meghan’s” birthday, per her Instagram.
