Michael Bublé’s wife Luisana Lopilato has shared a touching family photo with their sons Noah and Elias. This is the first photo that either of the parents has shared since three-year-old Noah was diagnosed with liver cancer in November 2016.
“El tiempo se detiene… no hay nada como los mimos de mama!! #tothemoonandback #familyfirst,” she captioned the heartwarming image on Instagram. This roughly translates to “Time stops… there’s nothing like a mother’s pampering.”
In April this year the family revealed that Noah was recovering from his illness, after going through rounds of chemotherapy.
Luisana told a press conference in her native country, Argentinia:
“When things like those that happened to us occur, your take on life changes. It happened to us. Now I value life much more, the now and the today. Thank God, my son is well.
“I would like to thank people for their support, for the prayers they said, for their love. And I want them to know that they reached us and that it helped us a lot to come through this.
“It’s difficult for me to speak about this, it’s very recent and I’m still a bit sensitive about the subject,” she continued. “But the love is daily, when people stop me in the street. It’s wonderful to know that you’re accompanied in life and that people love you.”
Michael made his first public appearance since the diagnosis last weekend, when he was presented with the Governor General’s Performing Arts Award in his home country of Canada.
“My entire life has been inspired by how my family has made me feel,” he told the crowd, as he held back tears. “There are no words to describe how I feel about you. Sometimes ‘I love you’ just isn’t enough because what I feel is so much more.”
