The 26-year-old songwriter released a new song just weeks after the couple announced they had decided to part ways. The lyrics directly reference the Australian actor and the troubles in their relationship.

In the days following the couple’s split, Miley was photographed on a girl’s trip with Kaitlynn Carter, Brody Jenner’s ex-wife who she was spotted kissing. On top of Miley’s performance, rumoured new flame Kaitlynn Carter attended the ceremony alongside the singer.
While she performed, Kaitlynn hung backstage. There’s even video evidence of her touching Miley’s hair right before Miley puts her arm around her.
Miley and Kaitlynn are yet to confirm if they are in a relationship. But according to friends of the pair, it was actually Liam’s behaviour that was a major factor in the marriage breakdown and not Kaitlynn.
“Everyone always thinks Miley is problematic and immature and a hardcore partier while he’s this chill surfer dude, but that’s actually [not accurate],” a source told People. “Liam parties with his friends, and Miley thinks he should’ve grown out of that by now.”
Another source agreed that Liam’s personality is very different to the “super easygoing” image the public sees, elaborated saying that the 29-year-old can get “moody” and “lash out” at Miley.
“She’s been supportive of him when things get dark, but it’s tough,” they told People. “That’s something that has weighed on Miley and their relationship. He can also lash out at her, and he hates the attention their ups and downs bring.”
