From the moment Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson began dating just five months ago, the couple has wasted no time in displaying their very public love to the world.

Now, in a move that proves their relationship is permanent, Cyrus and Simpson have taken their date night to a whole new level and commemorated the night with a piece of adorable matching ink.
The Hollywood couple had a session with famous tattoo artist (a favourite of the pair), Nico Bassill, who gave Cody and Miley matching trident tattoo’s in support of Simpson’s blossoming poetry career.
The Australian singer/actor is set to release a new book, titled Prince Neptune: Poetry and Prose in April 2020, so it only seems fitting that the tattoo enthusiasts marked the career milestone with some new ink.
Bassill shared his work on Miley and Cody to his Instagram, captioning the post “‘Some mornings it’s like the sun rises only for her,’ Prince Neptune.”
Turns out, Miley’s sweet gesture wasn’t the only tattoo she got on the day. The singer may already boast over 50 tattoos in total but managed to find room for another (quite literal) piece of artwork inspired by Henri Matisse.
“Dance me to your beauty with a burning violin. Dance me through the panic till I’m gathered safely in,” she captioned the post. “Touch me with your naked hand or touch me with your glove. Dance me to the end of love. Matisse X Cohen.”
Her latest piece, while significant, is much more minimal than her previous works, and could very likely be a reference to her romance with Cody. Talk about couple goals.
