Miranda Kerr and Katy Perry, the respective ex-wife and current fiancé of Orlando Bloom, took to Instagram Live this week to discuss Kerr’s skincare line, Kora Organics, and in the process got candid about their approaches to motherhood, and what it’s like in their ‘modern family.’
Kerr, who shares a 10-year-old son with Bloom, is now married to Snapchat founder Evan Spiegel, with whom she shares two young children, Hart and Myles. Meanwhile, Perry just welcomed her and Bloom’s daughter, Daisy.
“One of the great things about being close to Miranda is I get to try out all her products, especially when her son comes home with them in his backpack,” Perry said on the Live, adding, “In our modern family, she’s probably the most health-conscious of everyone.”
Perry continued, “I went into a huge transformation after having Daisy…. I started looking at all my products, my shampoo, conditioner, I went through a huge cleanout.”
The pair went on to say that motherhood has been the biggest blessing in their lives. “The kids are my number one love. It’s just the best thing in the world, being a mum,” said Kerr, to which Perry added, “It’s the best job. It’s the most fulfilling…. There was no feeling like the feeling when I had my daughter.”
It’s not the first time the pair have opened up about their family. In November 2020, Kerr appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show and spoke fondly of her ex-husband and his relationship with Perry.
“I adore Katy, and I just feel so happy that Orlando has found someone that makes his heart so happy, because at the end of the day, for Flynn to have a happy father and a happy mother is just the most important thing,” she said.
