“A dress that fully covers you creates a sense of purity and mystery,” Miranda told Vogue US.
“I’ve had a lot of fun with fashion, and I used to be more wild, free, bohemian. But in this period of my life, my style is more pulled back," she revealed.
"My greatest sources of inspiration have always been Grace, Audrey Hepburn, and my grandmother, who at 80 has an effortless chic: a nice pant, a white blouse, a scarf, a little heel.”
Miranda says both her mum and grandmother cried when they saw her dress, but that she managed to save her tears for the big day.
The model met with Grazia Chiuri a few months after her parter popped the question in July 2016. This was first bridal gown Chiuri, Dior's first female artistic director, worked on for the iconic fashion house.
The couple broke the tradition of not seeing each other before the wedding ceremony, telling Vogue they chose to spend the beginning of their big day undertaking an hour of yoga together.
While there was no bridal party - and less than 50 guests - Kerr’s 6 -year-old son Flynn from her previous relationship with Orlando Bloom was there by his mum's side as ring bearer.
Congratulations to the couple!
