Netflix In Talks To Create More ‘Gilmore Girls’ Episodes

Maybe we'll finally get some answers.

In news that would make even Lorelai Gilmore spit out her coffee, Netflix has revealed they are in talks to take us back to Stars Hollow.

As we all know, the Gilmore Girls revival series ended on a major (and seriously devastating) cliffhanger. Those final four words have been haunting us ever since! So imagine our pure joy when Netflix’s chief content officer Tom Sarandos told Press Association that they are in talks to continue on with more episodes.

“‘We hope (we can)” he said. “We obviously loved the success of the show, fans loved how well it was done, it delivered what they hoped.”

“The worst thing is to wait a couple of years for your favourite show to come back and for it to disappoint you but they sure delivered and people were really excited about more and we have been talking to them about the possibility of that.”

Sarandos revealed the talks are “very preliminary” but… like… come on. We’re just unbelievably stoked that the discussion is even on the table.

Both Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel are currently starring in other series, so at least we know they’re still keen on acting, right?

Alexis is starring as Ofglen in Hulu’s TV series adaptation of Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale, while Lauren has landed the lead role in a new sitcom Linda From HR.

We can only hope these Netflix ~talks~ turn into a second Gilmore Girls revival series! We’ll be keeping our Pop Tarts and our coffee very close in the meantime.
