The collaboration falls in line with Neuw's ZERO categories, which uses responsible and sustainable production initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of the denim manufacturing and production process. The water used in the manufacturing process is entirely renewed, reused, and recycled with zero waste being discharged as contaminated sewage into the water grid. While artist and designer Holly is committed to producing responsible and meaningful pieces. The brand minimises its impact on the earth by employing low or zero waste processes and using sustainable materials.
"The collection was all about talking to both of our strengths as designers in what we do, and making sure that shines through for both of us individually," Victoria adds. "The priority for us both has always been, as well, not forsaking style for sustainability."
For the collection, Holly designed signature, graphic buttons in her iconic 'Picasso' face crafted using all recycled metals. The limited-edition run has all been handstitched, hand-brushed and hand-grinded to produce a distressed aesthetic without the use of harmful chemicals.
The five-piece, limited-edition capsule collection is available in limited numbers in select David Jones stores and at neuwdenim.com.
