It’s been a long seven months since we said goodbye to Game of Thrones, a series that defined a generation, divided fans across the world and left all of us wondering why Jon Snow didn’t pat his loyal direwolf, Ghost, before saying goodbye (we’re still mad about it, can you tell?).

Thankfully, there seems to be a little bit of light at the end of this “long night” of GOT mourning. Fresh from finding out just a couple of weeks ago that the cast filmed an alternate ending, Entertainment Weekly has just shared a <a rel="noopener" href="/umbraco/https:/www.youtube.com/embed/Pwnb-5I7r-Q” target=”_blank”>new deleted scene from Season 8 and we can barely contain our excitement!

According to the publication, the deleted clip is taken from “The Long Night”, Episode 3 in the shows highly controversial final season. The scene that has caught most fans attention sees Sansa and Tyrion rescue Gilly and Missandei before they are attacked by wights in the crypts.

The good news is that the deleted scene is just one of many bonuses you can watch on the Game of Thrones Season 8 home video release, as well as the highly anticipated The Last Watch documentary which includes commentaries by the cast and crew, and other previously unseen extras.

If that’s still not quite enough to fill the Winterfell-sized hole in your heart, a Game of Thrones: The Complete Collection box set has also been released and apparently includes the long-awaited cast reunion, hosted by Conan O’Brien.

So, Santa, if you can’t organise a play date with our beloved Ghost, or plan on bringing Shireen Baratheon back this Christmas, then I guess we’re happy to accept more deleted scenes. Please.
