Dion Lee
Sydney-native Dion Lee is finally returning to New York Fashion Week, and we couldn’t be more excited. Given Lee’s expert eye for androgynous apparel that reeks of sex appeal, we’re positive his cut-out corsets and sculpted silhouettes will be the coveted collection of the season.
Coach
Stuart Vevers is pioneering a streetwear revival for Coach, and we’re sure the brand will continue its youthful exploration of its New York heritage this season. With its unabashed ‘New Yorker’ attitude, we’re looking forward to seeing the label continue to traverse this new frontier.
Tory Burch
Regardless of the season, Tory Burch continues to cement herself as a champion of New York excellence, because we know that no one does it like Manhattan. Given that Burch’s Spring/Summer 2022 show was reminiscent of an old-school downtown block party, we’re letting our mind run wild to what New York icon she’ll be tapping into for inspiration this season.
Michael Kors
For a label that’s been in business for over 40 years, Michael Kors shows no sign of slowing. Given that most of Kors’ Autumn/Winter collections are an homage to New York nightlife, we’re sure that this collection will be no different. We’ve already got our dancing shoes on.
Proenza Schouler
While Proenza Schouler has been a mainstay on New York’s style scene since its debut, its recent collections have been somewhat of a reintroduction of what we’ve come to love about the brand. Honestly, it’s refreshing to see a label resist the urge to embrace trends, rather staying true to what makes the contemporary womenswear label so covetable.
Peter Do
For an emerging brand, Peter Do certainly knows how to generate hype. Despite Do only ever presenting one collection in front of an audience, he’s already become an industry heavyweight with his simplistic colour palette and timeless silhouettes, a refreshing palate cleanser against the hustle and bustle of New York.
Alexander McQueen
Although Alexander McQueen isn’t officially on the schedule, the brand has announced they’ll be hosting their Autumn/Winter 2022 show in New York on March 15. Sarah Burton’s Spring/Summer collection took the brand to new heights (literally), and with an exceptionally stylish crowd that included Naomi Campbell and Emilia Clarke, we’re sure this show will exceed every expectation.
