Well, it’s official. Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have confirmed their split in a statement to fans.
The statement, shared with Us Weekly, reads: “Due to the abundance of recent interest and conversation surrounding Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry’s relationship, representatives have confirmed that Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on coparenting.
“They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect.”
The confirmation comes after weeks of speculation, insider sources and subtle clues that the couple’s seven-year long relationship and engagement had ended.
“It’s been breaking down the last couple of months and isn’t looking good,” they added.
Another source told Us Weekly around the same time, “Katy and Orlando have split but are amicable. It’s not contentious at the moment. Katy is of course upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life”.

Perry and Bloom weren’t able to shake the incessant split chatter while the ‘Firework’ singer toured Australia in June, either.
While the Pirates Of The Caribbean star made the trip down under for part of her The Lifetimes tour, split speculation only intensified when Bloom was only ever spotted spending time with his daughter, Daisy, 4.
Bloom was spotted out in Perth and on Kangaroo Island, on all occasions without his significant other, while Perry was seen on a cruise with her crew and daughter Daisy with Bloom noticeably absent, despite being in the country.
Following the quick stint in Australia, Bloom jetted to Venice for the wedding of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez where all eyes were on him and which single celebs he was mingling with.
The couple, who met in 2016 before became engaged some three years later, welcoming their first and only child, Daisy, a year after that in August of 2020.
