Off Campus star Mika Abdalla, who is set to take the lead on season two of the hit show as Allie Hayes, has split from her long-time partner and fiance, Jake Short.
The breakup was confirmed by a rep for the actress, saying: “Due to recent interest in Mika’s personal life it would feel remiss to not address that her and Jake are no longer together.”
They went on to tell Us Weekly that “they continue to support each other and remain on friendly terms, and kindly ask for privacy and respect.”

The news comes just days after it was announced her character Allie would be the central focus for the sophomore season of Off Campus, opposite fan-favourite Dean Di Laurentis who is played by actor Stephen Kalyn.
Abdalla also recently starred in a Quinn erotic audio story alongside Kalyn, with the popular platform tapping into the ice-hockey romance’s recent virality.
As the actress’ rep suggests, there’s been an overwhelming interest in the personal and love lives of the entire cast. And honestly, can you blame us?
Much of the Off Campus cast coming into season one are or were in serious relationships including Abdalla at the time after the couple met and fell in love on the set of 2022 Hulu comedy, Sex Appeal.

In an August 2024 episode of The American High Podcast, Abdalla recalled arriving in Syracuse, New York, for production and going to Short’s hotel room just to say hello — only for the conversation to stretch on for hours as they got to know each other.
Their chemistry carried over to real life when they began dating, and Abdalla described Short as “really cool and sweet and great.”
After roughly four years together, the relationship reached a major milestone: Jake’s manager, Brian Medavoy, confirmed the couple’s engagement in May 2025, sharing a photo with the caption, “From set to real life — watching your journey has been a joy. Here’s to forever.”
