Prince George has officially arrived at Eton College! The 13-year-old prince was flanked by his parents, Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, as he made his entrance at the prestigious boarding school near Windsor for his first day.
Braving the dreary weather, the family arrived with beaming smiles as they greeted Eton’s head teacher, Simon Henderson. George looked every inch the young gentleman for his big day in a navy suit, pale blue shirt and blue tie, while William wore a similar ensemble, adding a sweet touch of father-son synchronicity to the occasion.

Catherine, meanwhile, opted for a a familiar favourite, wearing a bottle-green dress by British designer Emilia Wickstead, which she previously wore in November 2023.
Prior to Eton, George attended Lambrook School alongside his younger siblings, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
There was something particularly heart-warming about watching William accompany his eldest son through a milestone he experienced himself nearly three decades ago. In September 1995, a 13-year-old William arrived at Eton alongside his then-separated parents, Prince Charles and Princess Diana.

Despite having split three years earlier, the couple put their differences aside to share the important moment with their son. Prince Harry, then just 10, was there too.
Eton is certainly no stranger to royal footsteps with Prince Harry and Prince Edward also having studied there, while King Charles chose Gordonstoun in Scotland, following in the footsteps of his father, Prince Philip.
With its newest royal pupil now through the gates, Eton has reportedly taken steps to preserve a little privacy amid the inevitable public fascination. “No Photography” signs were reportedly placed around the school, similar to the arrangements made when William was studying there.

To mark the milestone, Kensington Palace also released a series of official portraits by photographer Matt Porteous. In the images, George cuts a particularly dashing figure in Eton’s distinctive uniform, a black tailcoat, waistcoat and pinstriped trousers, finished with a crisp white shirt.
