Princess Diana’s Little Brother Just Shared A Rare Childhood Photo Of The Pair And It’s Incredibly Sweet

Diana and her little brother, Charles, were incredibly close as children

While we typically see throwback photos of Princess Diana from her early days in the royal family, there’s a new photo that’s surfaced of Diana when she was still a Spencer.

Princess Diana’s younger brother, Charles Spencer, shared a sweet photo of the siblings from their childhood on his Twitter.

In the photo, that Charles posted sans a caption, we can see a very young Diana wearing a pink gingham-print dress, posing with her arm wrapped around her little brother who is wearing a polo shirt and matching blue shorts. Charles and Diana also share two sisters, Sarah and Jane Spencer.

The 9th Earl Spencer’s childhood throwback comes soon after he publicly disputed the BBC for using illegitimate documents to help secure an explosive interview with the late princess 25 years ago, according to People.

In said interview, Diana shared the now-famous quote where she admitted that there were “three” people in her marriage to Prince Charles, alluding to his unfaithful behaviour with his current wife, Duchess Camilla.

“[The BBC] have yet to apologise for what truly matters here: the incredibly serious falsification of bank statements suggesting that Diana’s closest confidants were spying on her for her enemies,” Spencer told People earlier this month.

Described as the People’s Princess, Diana passed away in a tragic car crash in 1997, however, her memory continues to live on through her sons—Prince William and Prince Harry.

Currently, Diana’s life, introduction into the royal family and her tumultuous marriage to Prince Charles is being portrayed in the upcoming season of Netflix’s The Crown. Additionally, her life is also being reimagined into Spencer, an upcoming biopic directed by Pablo Larraín and starring Kristen Stewart, that details the princess’s decision to leave her husband and royal life behind.
