Who is Nicole Poturalski?
A German model with Polish heritage who speaks five languages, 27-year-old Nicole Poturalski was scouted at the age of 13 on a visit to Disneyland.
Since then, she has walked the runways in New York, Paris and Milan and appeared in multiple fashion magazines, including the German editions of Harper's BAZAAR and Grazia.
Going by the name Nico Mary for work, most recently she made it on to the cover of ELLE Germany.
She's a mother of one
Per the Daily Mail, she apparently speaks five languages and has a son named Emil who occasionally appears on her Instagram page.
In another Instagram post in May, Poturalski shared her appreciation towards mothers everywhere.
"Little love letter to all moms, that try so hard, give so much love, time and heart. Don't sleep, worry too much and love even more. You are great," she said.
She's an activist and not afraid to be political
According to the Daily Mail, in her early teen years she expressed a desire to become a marine biologist, a passion which she has maintained by founding a charitable organisation to aid sharks.
Similarly, Poturalski has spoken out about racial injustice and gun control, expressing her views in an Instagram Story in March:
"I truly believe we need change. Black Lives Matter. Children’s lives matter… Abused children can’t protest. They can’t connect with others.
"They can’t raise their voice cause nobody hears them. It’s on US YOUNG PEOPLE. EDUCATE and watch out for your younger fellow humans. Change is needed. Be kind to anyone and your best. I will do the same."
She is reportedly married but in an open relationship
According to the Daily Mail, Poturalski has been married to well-known German restauranteur Roland Mary, 68, with whom she had her son, for eight years. Reportedly Mary's fourth marriage, he and Poturalski allegedly have an "open marriage arrangement".
“He has been married several times and has five children,’’ the source said of Mary. “He is not interested in negativity or jealousy.”
"They are still married but you could describe their relationship as an 'open marriage'."
Neither Mary nor Poturalski have commented on the status of their relationship.
She's been posting about her "love" since February
While neither Pitt nor Poturalski have confirmed any relationship between them, Poturalsi, who splits her time between Berlin and Los Angeles, has been posting about her "love" since February, which does fit with the timeline.
Sharing a snap of herself walking in Los Angeles to Instagram at the time, she wrote:
"Missing my strolls with my Love 🌙💥"
She later followed it up with a post in March, alluding to her "better half" with a post captioned:
"Saturdays these days for me is self reflection, reading books spending time with my better half."
