Not too small, not too big. Is the Jeep Compass just right?

Jeep's not-quite-small, not-quite-mid-sized SUV, brought all those thoughts into play

There’s something about Jeeps, isn’t there? They carry with them the image of open-topped freedom and big wheels, bouncy rides through desert roads and endless summers. So driving the Jeep Compass this week brought all those thoughts into play.

The Compass looks cool from the outside and while inside isn’t super luxe, it’s still stylish with leather seats and leather steering wheel. I loved that lots of things were electronically controlled, from putting the driver’s seat into position to opening the boot with a click of a button, and the park brake automatically going off and on when you pop the gear in and out of park.

It was spacious with a good sized boot – I could fit my kids’ bikes in there standing up – and it has the latest tech with Apple Carplay or Android Auto. Plug your phone in and be instantly connected to Spotify and maps.
