The Golden Globes audience paid tribute to living legend Oprah Winfrey with not one but three standing ovations when she was awarded with the prestigious Cecil B. DeMille lifetime achievement award at yesterday’s event.

The TV mogul and philanthropist took the moment to deliver the most moving—and important—speech of the night, in which she addressed the rampant sexual harassment and abuse allegations that plagued Hollywood in 2017, and how the tide is hopefully turning.

“What I know for sure is that speaking your truth is the most powerful tool we all have. And I’m especially proud and inspired by all the women who have felt strong enough and empowered enough to speak up and share their personal stories,” Winfrey passionately declared in her address, which you can read in full here

Following the inspirational speech, ‘Oprah 2020’ started trending on Twitter, as people wondered (and hoped) the star had plans on running for presidency in the next US election.

The rumour mill then went into overdrive when CNN reported that sources close to the 63-year-old said she is “actively thinking” about challenging Trump.

Some of Winfrey’s confidants have been privately urging her to run,” the article reads.

However, when asked directly whether she has any plans to campaign for the top job yesterday, Oprah responded:  “I don’t — I don’t,” Bloomberg reports.

Whether she’s telling the truth or trying to throw us off the scent, only time will tell.
