‘Ozark’ Is Returning For Its Fourth And Final Season

Expect the series to end with "a bang(s)"

Fans of Netflix’s gripping drama Ozark were delivered bittersweet news this week – the series will be returning for a fourth season, but it will be its last. The upcoming season will consist of 14 episodes that will be split into two parts consisting of seven episodes each.

“We’re so happy Netflix recognised the importance of giving Ozark more time to end the Byrdes’ saga right,” showrunner Chris Mundy said. “It’s been such a great adventure for all of us, both on-screen and off, so we’re thrilled to get the chance to bring it home in the most fulfilling way possible.”

Mundy will return as the series showrunner, writer and executive producer, with Jason Bateman also returning. Also set to reprise their roles for the final season are Laura Linney, Julia Garner, Sofia Hublitz, Skylar Gaertner, Charlie Tahan, and Lisa Emery.

While we don’t know yet what season four has in store, Bateman told Variety that he’s “excited to end with a bang(s).”

“A super-sized season means super-sized problems for the Byrdes,” he added.
