With our doors closed for an uncertain period of time, it's a difficult period for business owners.
So we have welcomed the Instagram initiative Buy Aussie Now with open arms, as it is designed to help support local businesses during the coronavirus pandemic.
Created by founder of marketing company Catchy Media, Mitch Catlin, the aim is to connect business owners and employees in uncertain times.
The neighbourly postcard movement
After feeling helpless watching the daily onslaught of anxiety-inducing news unfold, Becky Wass from Cornwall, England came up with a touching way to spread joy in difficult times.
In order to help the most vulnerable members of society, Wass created a support card which people can post through the letterboxes of neighbours who are self-isolating.
Those wishing to help others can offer up their services whether that means grabbing a food shop, picking up urgent supplies or popping to the local post office.
The initiative soon went viral with people using the form to help those in need.

New initiative #TogetherAtHome is a collaboration between WHO and Global Citizen and has seen some of the world's most famous faces perform songs live on Instagram.
