Pregnant 19-Year-Old Aspiring Model Killed While Taking Photos On Train Tracks

Horrifying.

An aspiring model has been killed by a train after she was posing for a photo shoot in between two railroad tracks.

19-year-old Fredzania Thompson had seen a train moving towards her on one track when she moved to the other and a train struck her from the opposite direction.

The train had alerted her with the horn but it was too late.

The accident took place at the intersection of Hollister and Lee Street in downtown Navasota.

Navasota Assistant City Manager Shawn Myatt told the Navasota Examiner about the incident.

“Basically, you have two railroad tracks there, one is Burlington Northern to the west and one is Union Pacific to the east, and she was in between the two tracks,” he said.

“Burlington Northern had a train on their track coming and she turned back to the east to walk across the Union Pacific track and walked right in front of the Union Pacific train that was heading south.”

Thompson would have turned 20 on Monday, and had just found out that she was four weeks pregnant with her partner Darnell Chatman. The couple were engaged.

A GoFundMe page has come about to raise money for her funeral.
