Pregnant Wife Posts Heartbreaking Tribute To Husband Electrocuted At Work

Ryan de Wit lost his life in a workplace accident

When Victorian man Ryan de Wit left for work on Monday, his heavily pregnant wife Emma could have never imagined she would never see him again.

As Nine News reports, Ryan lost his life after being electrocuted near a live switchboard while working at a factory in Dandenong.

Emma, 29, shared an emotional tribute to her late husband on Facebook, describing him as a “big-hearted” man.

“To all our beautiful friends and family, I am so so sad to say that our beautiful, kind, fun loving, big-hearted man Ryan de Wit passed away yesterday in a workplace accident,” Emma wrote.

“My heart is so broken. There will never be anyone like him and we were all so lucky to have him in our lives.

“I will miss him forever. He was my best friend and soulmate.”

She finished the post: “Rest In Peace you beautiful soul. I love you so so much and always will. I hope that our baby will grow up to be just like you.”

The couple, who married in late 2016, are expecting their first child in April.

Ryan’s sister-in-law, Leah Holgate, also wrote a touching tribute to the electrician, the Herald Sun reports.

“Thank you for bringing so much joy, laughter and love into our family and making my beautiful sister so happy,” she posted.

“Baby de Wit will be so so loved. Will miss you always and remember you forever.”

A GoFundMe page has been created to raise money for Emma and the De Wit family. You can donate here.
