In today’s royal news, a friend of Prince Charles has spoken out against Meghan Markle’s family, saying they are “frightfully common” and that the royals “don’t quite know how to deal with them.”
Nicky Halsam, described as an “old friend” of Prince Charles and Camilla by Independent, went on to say, “It would have been awful if that huge lump [referring to Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle] had been there.”
“The royals probably don’t quite know how to deal with them,” Halsam, an interior designer, added. “One person who wasn’t common was her mother.”
Halsam, who actually wasn’t invited to the royal wedding, also commented on Meghan’s Givenchy gown.
“I didn’t very much like her dress,” he told the Daily Mail. “It didn’t fit, among other things. It should have been made of thinner stuff, it seemed to be made of concrete.”
