Prince George Just Called Himself By A Different Name, And The Internet Is Seriously Confused

What's the little royal hiding?

The Royal Family are undoubtedly one of the most talked about families in the world, with the modern Royals – or ‘Fab Four’ – having their every move reported across the globe. The Cambridge’s and the soon-to-be three Sussex’s are accustomed to a great deal of fame, making them especially vulnerable to the rumour mill.

Prince William’s eldest son, five-year-old George, has adopted a pseudonym, and the Internet is baffled.

According to The Sun, a dog walker was approached by Prince George in Berkshire while at his grandparent Carole and Michael Middleton’s home. But, the young royal didn’t introduce himself as George.

“I was asked by a police minder not to take a photo of the children, which I didn’t, but George started stroking my dog,” explained the dog walker who has chosen to remain unnamed. “Just to be friendly I engaged in a bit of small talk and I asked George what his name was, even though obviously I knew it.”

To my astonishment, he said ‘I’m called Archie’ with a big smile on his face. I don’t know why he calls himself Archie but kids often play with their names and I think it’s lovely.”

George isn’t the only royal who has chosen to adopt a different moniker. Both William and Harry are reported to have employed code names during their early twenties, allowing them to be spoken about under the radar by their inner circle of friends and keeping relationships private.

It’s been reported previously Prince William went for ’Steve’ and Prince Harry opting for ‘Spike’.

It is thought that like his father and uncle, the name ‘Archie’ is most likely a security measure.
